Furry pets don't always like it when we do specific things, like endlessly hugging or making fun of them, and they only tolerate it because they really care about us.

🚫 Hugging.

Many dogs don't like hugs, especially with strangers, and touching the neck can be perceived as a threat. Most pets tolerate gentle hugs from their owners, but that doesn't mean they really like them.

🚫 Banning sniffing objects while walking.

This is an essential part of a walk, as dogs can distinguish up to 1 million smells.

So don't stop them. 👈

🚫 Screaming during punishment.

Dogs don't know what is happening but get scared. 😩 It's best to stay calm and use the proven strict "NO" command.

🚫When teased for fun.

At first, the dog may perceive teasing as a game, but over time it will realize that this is not the case. For example, you keep calling the dog to give it something supposedly, but you don't provide it with anything, pull its tail because it's being funny and defensive, or just make fun of it. This way, you can lose your dog's trust and, subsequently, your authority.
